The Canine School of Trailing Wins Dog Trailing Training School of the Year 2025 – North West England

The Canine School of Trailing is proud to announce it has been named Dog Trailing Training School of the Year 2025 – North West England by LUXlife Magazine’s Pet Products and Services Awards.

Recognised for innovation and community, this award highlights its industry-leading work in instructor education and welfare-focused dog training.

This recognition builds on the success of the school’s Trailing Instructor Course, which has empowered aspiring instructors across the UK and beyond to bring scentwork and trailing to their own communities. Designed to be flexible, accessible and rooted in real-world training, the course blends theory with practical experience, supporting each student to develop the skills and confidence to run their own sessions.

Founders Marilyn Gilchrist and Rachel Rodgers said:

“We created our Instructor Course to help others share the life-changing benefits of trailing. Whether you’re starting out or adding to existing dog training services, we’re here to guide you every step of the way. This award means so much to us and the growing network of instructors we’re proud to support.”

Alongside its instructor programme, The Canine School of Trailing continues to deliver high-quality, inclusive training for pet and working dogs of all breeds – specialising in trailing for both missing people and dogs.

LUXlife magazine’s Pet Products & Services Awards encompass a vast array of offerings, from essential pet provisions like litter and food to specialized services such as cat hotels and training. The programme aims to highlight the “best of the best” in the luxury pet market.

Awards Coordinator Melissa Bramall expressed her admiration for this year’s winners: “It’s always a pleasure to host our awards programmes, and our Pet Products and Services Awards 2025 has been a fantastic opportunity to learn more about such an important industry for the health – and happiness – of our furry friends. Our winners pour their hearts into their work and it’s an honour to recognise them for all they do. Congratulations again, it is well deserved.”
