Who Handles Your Complaint

The Canine School of Trailing (TCSOT) operates as a partnership between Rachel Rodgers and Marilyn Gilchrist.

Data protection complaints will be reviewed by the TCSOT partners.

Where a complaint relates directly to one partner, the other partner will oversee the review wherever possible to ensure fairness and impartiality.

How We Handle Your Complaint

When we receive a data protection complaint, we will:

  1. Acknowledge receipt within 7 working days.
  2. Review the concern and gather any relevant information.
  3. Investigate whether personal information has been processed appropriately and in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.
  4. Provide a written response explaining our findings and any action taken.

We aim to resolve data protection complaints as quickly and fairly as possible.

Possible Outcomes

Following investigation, we may:

  • Confirm that your information has been handled appropriately
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Update our processes or procedures
  • Provide further explanation about how your information is processed
  • Take appropriate action where improvements are identified

We will explain the reasons for our decision.

Confidentiality and Data Security

All data protection complaints will be handled confidentially.

Information relating to complaints will only be shared with individuals who need to be involved in reviewing or resolving the matter.

Any personal information collected during the complaints process will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

If You Are Not Satisfied

If you remain unhappy with our response, you have the right to raise your concerns with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s independent authority responsible for upholding information rights.
